The Porsche 997 Turbo is at the end of it's life. The 997.2 marks the end of another era for the Porsche Carerra. Succeeding the 997/997.2 will be the 998, or possibly the 991 depending on what they end up naming it. For now, the 997.2 is a marvelous vehicle with tons of power, better fuel economy than any other supercar in its class, and won't leave you with an empty wallet for maintenance.
